Tour the Flagstaff / Northern Arizona Region and End the Day With a Memorable Dinner
Flagstaff and it’s surrounding areas have some incredible scenic and historical gems to offer. This trip gives you a little taste of the region’s best! Start the day by exploring an erupted volcano and the fascinating lava fields that surround it at Sunset Crater. Enjoy a lunch spread served in a ponderosa pine forest, and then drop into the desert to spend the afternoon wondering the halls of an ancient Indian city at Wupatki National Monument. End the day with dinner served at an Old Western Ranch restaurant! The venue and it’s hosts (who still operate it’s neighboring stables) will charm you and your stomach! Transport is included to and from your Flagstaff location. and drop off after dinner.
Itinerary:
Pickup is between 10am and 11am at your Flagstaff Location
Enjoy the scenic 35 minute drive past the San Francisco Mountains and into Sunset Crater National Monument Park
Do a short walk into a lava field and enjoy an interpretive talk by your guide who will explain the area's geology
Enjoy a picnic lunch in the Ponderosa Pine Forest at the base of Sunset Crater
After lunch, we will take a short walk to a prime spot for viewing the crater
Descend into the desert to Wupatki National Monument, an impressively in-tact city of Indian ruins. Walk through the ruins and learn amazing facts about the tribes that live there. Experience a blow hole which on days with low pressure will be releasing hot air from the ground
Relax and enjoy a beautiful drive back toward Flagstaff - sometimes witnessing herds of antelope, deer or elk on the way
End the day with a delicious steak, chicken, or vegetarian pasta dinner at an old cowboy ranch restaurant that has received rave reviews!
We then will return you to your appropriate destination after dinner with memories that will last a lifetime

Restrictions & Policies:
Minimum of two people required to book a day tour. Single parties may join an existing trip - call to find out about openings.
Payment due in full at departure of trip. If bookings are made ahead of time 50% is collected ahead of time, and 50% before departure. Deposits are non refundable. If you wish to reschedule your trip to another date a rescheduling fee may apply. You may apply your deposit toward a different trip within 12 months from the date of cancellation. Cancellations made less than 24 hours ahead of trip departing will receive NO refunds or credit. Around the Bend Adventures L.L.C. reserves the right to cancel trips for emergency reasons. In this case your money would be returned to you in full. Itinerary changes are rare but may occasionally occur and we will do our best to accommodate you in these cases.
